or former mayoral candidate suleiman brown but the documents do allege that donations were transferred from candidate a to candidate b and that gore destroyed a record of those illegal payments. the charges do seem to support those allegations that suleiman brown made after he was fired from his job as an accountant in the gray ad m he says he was paid to bash former mayor adrian fenty during campaign debates and for a city council that has grown weary of scandals, some members are ready for the feds to finally wrap up the year-long investigation, whatever the outcome. >> i'm just really hopeful that the u.s. attorney is getting to the end of these investigations. certainly the people of the district of columbia deserve to know what happened and if there are laws bleaken, people have to be held accountable. >> the obstruction of justice for the alleged destruction of a notebook that contained campaign payment records just after suleiman brown went to the media, that is most serious charge. it could carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison. mayor gray and suleiman brown,
